Chapter 10 of 13
MOSFET / ETU Installation & Tuning
Installation reference guides for each of the three MOSFET/ETU brands we approve, plus the brushless-specific gear-clearance check for GATE units.

- Step 1
Overview
Most MOSFET/ETU installs are straightforward, but every brand requires a few brand-specific modifications to the gearbox or the wiring path. Rather than duplicate each manufacturer's documentation, work from the official guides — they are kept up to date with firmware revisions and we trust them.
- Step 2
Approved units and their guides
- Perun Hybrid V2 — Perun Hybrid V2 install guide (manufacturer documentation).
- GATE Titan II Bluetooth — Titan II Bluetooth install guide (manufacturer documentation).
- Jefftron Leviathan V2 Optical — Leviathan V2 install guide (manufacturer documentation).
Pick the unit that matches the customer's feature requirements (programmability, app control, optical vs. mechanical trigger) and follow that guide end-to-end for the brand-specific mounting and wiring steps.
Brushless-specific note for GATE Titan V2 / II Bluetooth: after you complete shimming (chapter 8), confirm that the sector gear does not make contact with the upper PCB of the MOSFET at any point in its rotation. Brushless cycle rates amplify any near-miss into a strike inside the first range trip. If clearance is marginal, re-shim the sector down or shift to Perun or Jefftron — never file the GATE board.
- Step 3
Power and brake settings (defaults)
Parameter Default Active brake ON, full Pre-cock ON if pack is fresh 11.1V 30C+; OFF otherwise ROF cap 30 RPS LVC 9.6 V (3S LiPo) Burst OFF unless requested Active brake on full is mandatory on a brushless SSG. Without it the sector overshoots the pre-cock position and the next trigger pull double-feeds the piston rack.
